It all began in one bedroom converted studio in 2007 when Maiko Kuzunishi, then a freelance graphic designer in Kansas City, found out that she was going to be a mom. A simple idea of turning Maiko's cuckoo clock illustration into a functional clock, combined with her dream to start her own business ignited a new venture that became the Decoylab that you see today. Since then, Decoylab has been committed to creating products that bring smiles to children of ALL ages. Our mission is to offer objects of warmth, magic and loveliness that stand the test of time.

Each of our product is hand crafted and produced in small batch at a time. We work closely with a local laser cutter to deliver unique and quality products.

Our products are impeccably assembled, thoroughly inspected and carefully packaged. We also LOVE our planet, so we have chosen our materials for products and packaging to be most Eco-friendly and sustainable.

Custom Order

If you do not see what you are looking for, or you would like to have something special made just for you, we can create a custom design. Please keep in mind, custom orders may take anywhere from 4-6 weeks depending on what it is, so plan accordingly. If you have an idea, feel free to contact us through our contact page.
